A NOTE FROM OUR OWNER
Hello my name is Phil Reed, a farmer from Washington, Iowa. I have been hauling liquid manure for 35 years and my son and I manage a commercial hauling business.
Over the years we have become very frustrated with manufacturers failed attempts to develop equipment for injecting manure into ground with high crop residue.
After several years of testing I developed the Vertical Till Injector (VTI).
The primary advantages of the equipment we developed are:
- Significantly faster application
- Dramatically reduced fuel consumption
- Flexibility to apply manure in variable conditions and crop residues increasing the time available for hauling
Every component that touches the soil rotates, so we have been able to run the VTI in crop, pasture ground, bean stubble, corn stocks, rain, snow and 2 inches of frost and have never plugged it.
The VTI has been run over 1000’s of acres and the results have surpassed expectations, especially in heavy cornstalks. We have applied at speeds of up to 16 mph and as slow as 4 mph and it does a great job in bean stubble.
The VTI pulls very easily and uses less fuel. This tool has opened up the window of manure hauling by at least 25%.
